Las Palmas Estate, Old Las Palmas, Palm Springs

The Best Luxury Vacation Homes in Palm Springs

Six Palm Springs homes we’d send our own friends to, each with a private pool, a local team on call and all-inclusive rates when you book direct.

There are a lot of beautiful houses for rent in Palm Springs. The ones that make a trip are rarer: the house where the pool gets the last of the sun, the bedrooms don’t feel like an afterthought, and someone actually picks up the phone when you call.

We manage 23 homes in Palm Springs itself, and every one has its own private pool. These six are the ones guests ask about by name: a gated 1.3-acre estate with its own tennis court, a 1950 Herbert Burns house next door to Sinatra’s Twin Palms, a hillside home whose 40-foot pool looks out over the city lights, and three more with room for families and groups of 8 to 14.

Bringing a bigger group? After the Palm Springs homes, we’ve added a short list of our largest estates elsewhere in Greater Palm Springs, each labeled with the city it is actually in.

How we choose

What we look for in a luxury Palm Springs home

  • A private pool you don’t share. Every one of our homes has one, heated before you arrive.
  • Bedrooms that work for adults. En-suite baths and separate casitas or guest houses, so couples and families get real privacy.
  • The right neighborhood for the trip. Old Las Palmas, Movie Colony and the Tennis Club let you walk to dinner. Hillside homes trade walkability for views.
  • Someone local who answers. Our team works out of Palm Desert and offers 24-hour support during your stay.

Book direct

Booking direct vs. Airbnb or Vrbo

Many of our homes are also listed on the big booking platforms. When you book on desertluxuryestates.com, our rates are all-inclusive, with one small booking fee of about 3% that basically covers credit-card processing. Per Desert Luxury Estates, that comes to up to 15% less than booking the same house on Airbnb or Vrbo. Same house, same local team, and the difference can go toward the chef night instead.

Palm Springs luxury vacation homes: FAQ

What are the best luxury vacation homes in Palm Springs?

Among our homes, the standouts are Las Palmas Estate (a 1.3-acre Old Las Palmas compound with six bedrooms, a saltwater pool and a lighted tennis court), Corte Valentino (a gated six-bedroom Spanish hacienda near downtown), Cielo Estate (five suites and a 40-foot heated pool over the city lights), Roxy Palm Springs (six bedrooms, a saltwater pool and an outdoor kitchen), Blue Skye Modern (a walkable Tennis Club home with a waterfall spa) and The Beehive (a 1950 Herbert Burns house next to Sinatra’s Twin Palms).

Do all of these homes have a private pool?

Yes. Every Desert Luxury Estates home has a private pool, heated before you arrive at no extra charge, and all six featured Palm Springs homes also have a spa.

Which Palm Springs luxury home is best for a large group?

In Palm Springs itself, Roxy Palm Springs sleeps 14 across six bedrooms. Las Palmas Estate and Corte Valentino each sleep 12 in six bedrooms, and Las Palmas spreads those bedrooms across a main house, a guest house and a casita. For bigger groups, our largest estates are elsewhere in Greater Palm Springs: Delgado Estate in Indian Wells sleeps 36, and La Paz Estate and Casablanca in Palm Desert each sleep 18.

Can we walk to downtown Palm Springs?

From Blue Skye Modern (Historic Tennis Club), Las Palmas Estate and Corte Valentino (Old Las Palmas), yes. Cielo Estate is about a mile from Palm Canyon Drive, and Roxy Palm Springs is under a mile from the Uptown Design District.

How much does a luxury vacation home in Palm Springs cost?

Our Palm Springs homes run from $300 to $5,500 a night, depending on the house, the season and the length of stay. Rates are highest from January to April and over holiday weekends.

Is there a minimum stay?

Most of our Palm Springs homes take a two- or three-night minimum, longer over holidays, Modernism Week and Coachella weekends. A few carry a 28-night minimum or more. Each home’s page shows its own rule.

Why book direct instead of on Airbnb or Vrbo?

Our rates are all-inclusive. Booking direct adds just a small booking fee of about 3%, essentially the credit-card processing cost, and per Desert Luxury Estates it still comes to up to 15% less than booking the same house on Airbnb or Vrbo. You deal directly with the local team that manages the home, and concierge and 24-hour support come with the stay.

Can you arrange a private chef or an in-home massage?

Yes. Our concierge arranges private chefs, grocery pre-stocking, in-home spa services, bartenders, mid-stay housekeeping, car rentals and more, with pricing confirmed before anything is booked.

What are check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is at 3:00 PM or after, and check-out is at 11:00 AM.

What is your cancellation policy?

A 10% cancellation fee applies from booking until 60 days before arrival. From 60 to 30 days out it is 50%, and within 30 days of arrival the reservation is non-refundable.

Ready when you are.

Tell us your dates and your group, and a local villa specialist will match you to the right house and set up anything you’d like waiting when you arrive.
